Welcome! I’m Héctor Sánchez. By profession, I’m a Public Accountant with over 25 years of experience in auditing, accounting, and financial analysis.
Alongside my finance career, I’ve always been drawn to technology. Over the years, this curiosity led me to explore web development, mobile apps, and e-commerce. It was managing the data generated by my e-commerce ventures that truly pushed me deeper – first into Google BigQuery, then MySQL and SQL Server, and ultimately Power BI.
For the last few years, I’ve heavily utilized Power BI, developing models that significantly improved my work. Through this practical application, I realized I was increasingly venturing into the realm of Data Science. Wanting to build a more solid and structured foundation in this field, I decided to pursue formal education.
In September 2022, I enrolled in the “Data Science and AI: From Concept to Application Development – Live” diploma program at Tec de Monterrey.
This blog serves as my digital notebook, a place to document and consolidate my learnings as I progress through my Data Science studies. Feel free to use these notes if they’re helpful, but please keep in mind they reflect my understanding at the time of writing and may contain errors.
